Exhausted yet excited.

This week has been flying by rather quickly; I don’t know where it’s gone. I do know that I am tired. This is also bizarre because I have been sleeping better this week than normal. Let’s go back to last Thursday where I first began expending my energy.
I woke up Thursday extremely excited. It was a night that I had been waiting for since September. I was going to Chiodos’ Bone Palace Ballet Tour. I had two tickets, one for me and one for a friend. Unfortunately I couldn’t get in touch with said friend. I was going crazy all day. Eventually I had to find someone to drive me up there because I no longer had a ride. We left Huntsville ready for the show, and cruising down I-45 in Tyler’s Camaro. We stopped in Spring and got Tyler’s Forerunner. Then we were finally on our way to the show, although we were already running late. When we got to the show I met up with my cousin/best friend Justin. We had missed The Devil Wears Prada, but made it just in time to see Scary Kids Scaring Kids coming on stage. They were pretty good. I had seen them before at the 2007 Van’s Warped Tour, they did not disappoint. I only have their first EP so I didn’t know any of the songs they played.
After Scary Kids Justin and I went outside to talk and get some fresh air, ironically we were technically in the smoking section. We went inside after discussing adult things like women and money.
Inside Emery had just finished setting up and was opening their set with a drum solo. They played a lot of songs from their newest album, which I do own, but don’t like. I think they were missing a member. I don’t remember exactly. I do know that they did put on a good show. They ended the show with Walls and it was amazing.
After Emery we went outside again, but mostly stood around and made fun of scene kids. I really don’t like scene kids, but that is another blog. Chiodos came out on stage to The Undertakers Thirst for Revenge is Unquenchable. I loved it. They played another song after that one. The lead vocalist said a few words of apology for not making it to Warped Tour this year, but then they played. They played the best songs they have for 40 minutes and closed with a two song encore. I loved every second of their show. It was even better because hardcore dancing was at a minimum, and that is always exciting.
Friday night girlfriend and I went to see Hellogoodbye and Say Anything play.
That show was really good too. I mostly enjoyed just hanging out with Nicole thought. Hellogoodbye played almost everything they have recorded and I loved everything about that show. Then Say Anything played for over an hour. They played all the good songs from …is a real boy and then a lot of new stuff from In Defense of the Genre. I know that was a much shorter story, but the truth is I am feeling lazy and can’t think of good things to write.
There was this group of girls at the Hellogoodbye show that were running around in tutus with nothing under them except their panties. Crazy right? I didn’t think this was okay. The girls were no older than 17. One was even playing with her panties in the lobby. I mean seriously, why did they think that was okay?
The rest of this week has just seemed really long. I took a test in philosophy on Tuesday and turned in a project for Writing for the Mass Media today. I am really just tired of my classes this semester.
This Saturday girlfriend and I are going out to celebrate out anniversary. We are going to see RENT on stage in Houston! We are both very excited.
I will write more later when I am inspired. Sorry this isn’t very good.
Until next time.
