Teeny-Bopper T.V.

I’m home alone watching Teeny-Bopper TV on ABC Family. You know, I used to watch the Family Channel in a time and place far away from now. I watched it then because there was a Super Mario Bros. cartoon. Now I am watching it for this show that I’ve gotten used to watching with girlfriend. This show was created by Brenda Hampton, the one and the same who created 7th Heaven. We all know how glitzy and clean 7th Heaven was, and how it sometimes touched on the issues in its decade plus running time.

This new show, Secret Life of the American Teenager, starring Molly Ringwald, has broken all of those rules in less than a season. Here’s a list of everything talked about in this show thus far:

  1. Teenage Pregnancy
  2. Faith & Religion
  3. Adoption Pains
  4. Abortion
  5. Adultery
  6. Gay Marriage
  7. Teenage Masturbation
  8. Alzheimer’s Disease
  9. Teenage Marriage
  10. Lying
  11. Jealously

and any other biblical no-no you can think of. Many of these occured in a single episode! Reverand Camden thought he had it bad when Mary trashed her school! Intense, yo. If you’re bored and curious, you can check out the show on ABC Family’s Web site, or any other T.V. show provider out there that I’m not really supposed to visit.
