A happy union between bat and machete.

I’m not entirely sure when our society reached its current level of obsession with the undead and/or cursed. With millions of Twilighters falling in love with Native American Werewolves and sparkly, mega-whiny “vampires” and millions of others enthralled with zombies and the coming zombie apocalypse, it’s as if we’ve lost all interest in the living. However, those are ponderings for another day.

Today is all about the purely carnal, destructive power of forest clearing implements when the zombies come. After a few hours of game play with Left 4 Dead 2 I quickly decided that the addition of the melee weapons definitely add to the overall good times of the game. When the video games are in the off position I some times find myself discussing what kind of weapons could be added to the game to not only improve the effectiveness of the melee options, but to also add some down home southern goodness to the game.

The game is already set in the deep south and includes such treats as a cast iron skillet and a machete, but this here Bush Hook is a treat from my childhood that I believe would improve zombie decapitation levels. Though my mother loathed it when my brothers and I would locate my dad’s cutting implements, we had trees to clear and bridges to build, by golly!

I’d like to also state in my humble opinion, that this tool would be rather effective in defending one’s self in case of an actual zombie apocalypse.
